Finchley Farm Cottages

Finchley Farm is conveniently located 3 kilometres outside the Great Karoo town of Willowmore, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa on the R407 – Prince Albert Road.

Michael and Joanne Kroon moved here 1996. The main homestead was beautifully restored and the garden had a complete makeover with plenty of trees being planted. It is an active sheep and wool producing farm, with indigenous goats, Nguni cattle and game, adding to the farming enterprises . The farm is made up of 4 different biomes, namely nama karoo, succulent karoo, renoster karoo and fynbos.

The geographic location of the Cottages makes accommodation suitable for the visiting businessman or for the family that want to experience a typical Karoo Farm Stay and the day to day life on a working Karoo farm.

Other Activities include hiking, 4×4 and mountain biking.

The beautifully restored farm cottages are located in the shady and colourful garden of the homestead.

About Us

Accommodation

The cottages, dating back to the late 1800’s are tastefully furnished and decorated with numerous historic items which will without a doubt be of interest to visitors. They are situated in the beautiful and tranquil garden

Activities

The farm offers guests numerous activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking, 4x4 and 4x2 tracks. A swim in the garden’s rock pool and Birdwatching in an around the garden and farm, is always rewarding.

About Willowmore

The town of Willow-Moore (Willowmore) was founded in 1864 when Frederick and William Joseph Moore, his brother-in-law and business partner donated land to the Dutch Reformed Church. In 1874 a magistracy was established.
