Activities at Finchley Farm

All activities are done  by guests and visitors at their own risk.  No day tours are offered.

The farm offers guests and visitors numerous activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking, 4×4 and 4×2 tracks.

Summer calls for a swim in the garden’s rock pool to refresh yourself and relax. Birdwatching in an around the garden and farm, is always rewarding.

The play park will occupy children, giving them a lots of freedom to roam around and to enjoy all the open space, while parents have a chance to relax in the garden or Gazebo.

Take a short walk up up the farm dam and watch the bird life .

There are also plenty tracks  to take walks or cycle on,  from easy to more challenging.

A 9-hole golf course is 3km away for somebody who wants to play golf     “Karoo style”

Aasvoëlberg

The well-known landmark, Aasvoëlberg is located on Finchley Farm. The routes are graded with a difficulty level of 1-2 suitable for 2×4 bakkies.

Apart from the usual farm animals such as horses, sheep, cattle there are also various species of game such as Kudu,  Blesbuck, Impala, Springbuck, duiker and Klipspringers on the farm.

guests and visitors can do  a self-drive or hike to the top of Aasvoëlberg where they will find a rich variety of flora (Proteas and fynbos) as well as magnificent rock formations, fountains, waterfalls and mountain streams.

Bird life is abundant and bird watchers will not be disappointed.

Please note there is an additional fee for the self-drive to Aasvoëlberg.and visitors
